Furthermore, organizers allowed campers on the grounds for the first time in 2003 - one of many innovations over Coachella's storied history. Unfortunately, due to the global pandemic of COVID-19, the festival was unable to take place in 2020 or 2021 but will hopefully pick up where it left off soon enough!
