Thousand Palms
Thousand Palms is a census-designated place in the Coachella Valley in Riverside County, California. The city is home to seven thousand and fifteen people. At the 2010 census, its population was 7,715. During the 2000 census, its population was five thousand. It is a desert town with a desert climate.
The city is home to over one thousand palm trees. The city was first mapped in 1874 as "100 Palm Spring." By the 20th century, its name had grown to "Thousand Palms." The city is surrounded by fresh-water springs and pools created by the San Andreas fault.
The city's population is growing fast. There are many companies that have set up shop in the area that offers dental crowns. Thousand Palms has a median household income of $34,172. Males earn an average of $33,325 while females earn an average of $25,543. Per capita income was $16,790. The city is part of the Inland Empire, which is larger than nine states.

In the late 1940s, a naturalist and oil speculator named John Wight bought some holdings in the oasis. Wilhelm was also a poet. However, his desire to preserve the oasis wasn't guaranteed. The oasis' fate was shaped by the efforts of multiple developers. Thankfully, multiple developers were unwittingly aiding the cause of preservation.
Thousand Palms offers many opportunities for outdoor recreation. The Coachella Valley Preserve, which covers more than 20,000 acres, has a two-mile loop trail that winds through several different ecosystems. The Palms' housing stock is almost entirely apartment buildings, with only a tiny percentage of single-family homes occupied by owners. As of the 2000 census, 87% of occupied dwellings were rental units. The remaining concentration of single-family homes is located in the Westside Village district. The neighborhood was initially developed by developer Fritz Burns in an assembly-line style before World War II.
Several bird species are common in the area. These include Gambel's quail, black-throated sparrows, and phainopeplas. During the warmer months, songbirds can be seen in abundance. You can also observe bobcats and sidewinders during the summer season.
