The Willis Palms trail leads to a natural oasis. The oasis is situated along the San Andreas Fault, which causes water to seep upward through cracks in the earth. A fire in 2010 damaged the oasis but has since recovered. A rare desert Indian was killed here in the area and cremated in the Pushawalla Palms Canyon.
